Europa League Quarter Final Review: – The Europa league quarter final first leg kick-off on Thursday night with four highly intense matches which sees the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Benfica and Valencia triumph over their counterpart.

ARSENAL vs NAPOLI (Review)

The game between Arsenal and Napoli ended in a 2-0 which sees the English side victorious over the Italian side. Two first half goals from Aaron Ramsey (14th mins) and a 25th minutes own goal by Kalidou koulibaly ensure a victory for the gunners at the Emirate stadium last night.

The Italian side tried so hard to reduce the deficit but the Arsenal defense stood their grounds. Napoli recorded a 58% ball possession compared to the gunners 42%.

The second leg of  this encounter will kick-off next Thursday which will expect the Italian club to a must win. A 2-0 victory for Napoli will see them force the game into an extra time while a 3-0 victory will ensure they qualify for the semi final of the competition.

SLAVIA PRAHA vs CHELSEA (Review)

The game between this two side was a very interesting one as the czech side who seem to be the underdogs really show a lot of discipline in this encounter.

Slavia Praha recorded more shots than the English side with the czech team having 9 shots and 3 of the shots are on target while chelsea recorded 8 shots in total and 2 of the shots are on target.

An 86th minutes goal from Marcos Alonso saw Chelsea get a vital away goal all thanks to a brilliant cross from Willian. Chelsea will be going into the second of this encounter with a comfortable away goal which Slavia Praha will need to ensure a must win at the Stamford bridge next week if they are to qualify for the next stage of the competition.

BENFICA vs EINTRACHT FRANKFURT (Review)

This was a very interesting encounter between this two sides. It was a goal packed game which sees the match recording a total of 6 goals from the two sides.

Benfica won the match 4-2, a 20mins red card sees the visitors losing the match after a penalty was awarded and was converted by the man who went home with the match ball Joao Felix. The visitors respond with a goal in the 40th minutes then Joao Felix ensure a lead for the home team in the 43rd minutes. Ruben Diaz 50th minutes goal makes it three for the home team and Joao Felix complete his hat trick in the 54th minutes which saw the home team take a 4-1 comfortable lead before the visitors reduce the deficit to two in the 72 minutes.

The match ended 4-2 and this will make the home team go into the second leg with a two comfortable goal lead. Franfurt will be expected to turn over a two goals deficit at Germany next week if they are to qualify for the next round of the competition.

VILLARREAL vs VALENCIA (Review)

It was a late dramatic win for Valencia at the Estadio De La Ceramica on Thursday night in Spain as they trash their Spanish opponent 1-3 away from home. Goals from Guedes and Daniel Wass ensure a victory for the visitors.

Daniel Wass 90thmins and Goncalo Guedes 93rd minutes sees Valencia move to the second leg of the encounter as favorite to qualify for the semi final stage of the competition.

Meanwhile, Villarreal will need an outstanding 0-2 win over Valencia in the second leg if they are to qualify for the next face.
