Description of the Graduate Trainee Job for NNPC Recruitment

Graduate Trainee positions are for people with little or no work experience. This positions will fall under the structured Young Professionals Development (YPD) programme and may last for a period of 3 to 5 years.

Eligible candidates must have Bachelor’s degree with either First Class, Second Class upper, Second Class lower with Masters Degree OR HND (minimum of Upper Credit) with Masters Degree in designated disciplines.

If you have got what it takes then you can apply for the Senior Officer, Supervisory Cadres or Managerial cadres positions. You can check for the individual requirements at the experience hire page. However minimum degree is a second class supported by a Master’s degree programme and Upper credit HND holder who has also completed a Master’s programme. In addition. Fields that can apply include:

How to apply for the NNPC Recruitment Scheme

1. Log on to Careers.nnpcgroup.com
2. Next, pick “Graduate trainees” or “Experienced Hires”.
3. Check to see whether you are eligible and have the proper documents
4. Ensure you read and understand the job role and requirement. You might be asked about it especially to know if you are indeed qualified for the position.
5. Select “Apply Now” at the base of the page.
6. Fill in your biodata ( please use a current email that you can access at any time)
7. Ensure you read the terms and conditions you find at the base of the page
8. Confirm that you have accepted these terms and confirm that you are not a robot. them click the “Apply Button”
9. No go to your email and click on the verify link sent to your email
10. This will redirect you to the login page, where you will log in with the email and password you supplied earlier.
11. Now fill in the application accordingly, you cannot move to the next page without supplying all requested information.
12. Upload your passport photo ( this should be square shaped, 5cm X 5cm and minimum 600 X 600 pixels, max is 1200 X1200 pixels). The photo should not be larger than 200 kb and must be in JPEG or PNG format.
    • The picture must have colour, and should not be more than 6 months old
    • Your both eyes must be open and you must be bearing a neutral expression.
    • You should not have any headphones, hat or head cover except for religious purposes.
    • Best pictures are done in the white background and taken to show your entire head.
13. You must also provide your NYSC certificate number and year of completion by selecting your preferred mode of identification and input your document number.

15. Upload WAECNECO, NABTEB, GCE, (Not more than two sittings), Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age, Curriculum Vitae (Applicable to only Experience Hire) and Professional Certification as applicable to you. All should be uploaded in PDF format and not more than 200kb

Other Requirements

Graduate Trainees

• You must not have graduated earlier than 2014
• Not more than 28 years of age
• Must possess a Bachelors Degree with either First Class, Second Class upper, Second Class lower with Masters Degree OR HND (minimum of Upper Credit) with Masters Degree in designated disciplines.
• must have completed NYSC or possess NYSC exemption certificate at the time of this application

Experienced Hires

• Not more than 34 and 37 years of age for the Senior Officer and Supervisory cadre positions respectively as at 31st of December, 2018.
• Must possess Bachelor’s degree with either First Class, Second Class upper, Second Class lower with Masters Degree OR HND (minimum of Upper Credit) with Masters Degree in designated disciplines.
• must have completed NYSC or possess NYSC exemption certificate at the time of this application
• Should have minimum 6 and 9 years experience for the Senior Officer and Supervisory cadre positions respectively.

Managerial Cadre positions ( under Experience hires category)

• Must not be more than 45 years of age as at 31st December 2018
• Must possess Bachelor’s degree with either First Class, Second Class upper, Second Class lower with Masters Degree OR HND (minimum of Upper Credit) with Masters Degree in designated disciplines.
• must have completed NYSC or possess NYSC exemption certificate at the time of this application
• Should have minimum 18-20 years experience with at least 3 to 5 years of managerial/leadership level in an organization of comparative size.
