Astroworld Deaths Names and Pictures
Thousands of fans rushed the stage during what was supposed to be a fun and exciting two-day music festival in Houston, resulting in at least eight deaths and 13 hospitalizations.
Authorities are still trying to figure out what caused the fan deaths at rapper Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival at NRG Park on Friday night as of Sunday. More than 50,000 people attended the festival.
The festival’s victims ranged in age from 14 to 27, according to Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, who spoke at a press conference on Saturday. Six of the eight families have been notified so far, according to him, and not all of the victims have been identified yet.
Some of the victims’ names, however, have been made public by their schools or family members. Here are the victims’ names that have been released so far:

- John Hilgert
He was 14 year old and a freshman at Memorial High School in Houston, died following the festival. He was the youngest victim, according to a report from USA Today.
- Brianna Rodriguez
She was 16 and a junior who attended Heights High School in Houston, died following the festival.
- Franco Patino
He was a University of Dayton student from Naperville, Ill., died following the festival.
- Rodolfo Angel Peña
Rodolfo from Laredo, died following the festival, according to a report from USA Today. Peña was striving to be a model and psychology student. He and some friends made their trek to Houston for the music festival before he died from cardiac arrest. He was 23-years old.
- Danish Baig
Danish from Dallas, died following the festival, according to USA Today. Baig died after he tried to rescue his fiancee during the crowd surge. He was 27 years old.
- Axel Acosta
Alex from Washington state, died following the festival.
