The big events held on the 30th of October, Apple unveiled a new a whole new set of hardware, the new IPad Pro, Mac Book Air and Mac mini alongside a host of accessories.
After the last announcements which heralded the release of the iPhone X trio devices, the new announcement is even more exceptional. Apple, yesterday, released a whole new set of Tablets and accessories. However, all new devices can be preordered on the 7th of November. In this article, we will explore the intricacies of the newly released Mac Mini and Mac Book Air.
But before we do that, it is important we make this announcement, Apple has gone Green!!!
Apple’s Green initiative – 100% Recycled redesigned Mac products
This announcement heralds the event, held yesterday as Apple decided to fully embrace its sustainability initiative. The new Mac products are made from 100 per cent recycled aluminium for their metal covers. In addition, it has a 50 per cent carbon footprint reduction which is welcomed.
The newly improved Mac Mini
Finally, after the 2014 upgrade on the Mac Mini, we are seeing another lovely update. And yes, this is a major update.
Apple updated its Mac Mini desktop for the first time in four years this morning, announcing a new model at its late October product announcement event in Brooklyn, New York. It starts at $799, $300 more than the starting model for the previous-generation Mac Mini. The 2018 edition is available to order today, and Apple says it will ship to customers next week.
Apple‘s new Mac Mini has two options for a processor. You can pick the quad-core 8th Gen Intel processor or you can have the six-core Intel Core i7 versions. This is a major step up from the previous dual-core processor in the Mac Mini of 2014.
In addition, the new Mac Mini also comes with 64GB of RAM and can take up to 2TB of space in its flash storage. Apple is also including a new T2 Security chip in this lovely update and there is a diverse range of ports for the Mac Mini 2018. There are four USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI and two USB-A ports on the rear. The Ethernet port can also be upgraded to a 10GB Ethernet port. However, the HDMI from the previous models is quite the same in the Mac Mini.
Apple totally overhauled the interior Hardware of the Mac mini as well as the exterior. The exterior metal casing is made of 100 per cent recycled aluminium and Apple added a whole new space grey finish to the outside.

Mac Mini availability and price
For a starting price of $799, you will get 3.6GHz quad-core Core i3 CPU, 8GB of memory, 128GB SSD storage, integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 GPU.
However, if you wish for more such as a 3.0GHz 6-core i5 processor, 256GB SSD storage, 8GB of memory and an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 GPU.
However, the Mac mini is sold alone without the display, keyboard or mouse. All of that you will have to get on your own.
The new MacBook Air Pro comes with a Retina Display
Apple’s MacBook Air Pro is a step up from the previous model which we know had a much lower resolution, subpar performance and a Retina display. This model, however, has 50 per cent thinner bezels than the standard MacBook, a 13.3- inch screen and a Retina display. It also embeds two USB C-ports, 3.5mm Headphone jack and is quite later than the previous model.
The new MacBook Air pro also has a Touch ID feature for a much secure login which is powered by the T2 chip. It, however, has no Touch Bar which we can stay makes the new design much fun.
It also runs on the 8th Gen dual-core CPU, a lovely Graphical layout, 16GB RAM and can take up to 1.5TB SSD. In addition, the MacBook Air Pro like the Mac Mini is made from 100 per cent recycled Aluminum. These set of devices is the first in line for Apple’s Green Initiative.
