Buhari govt increases petrol price from N138 to N151 per litre

For the past 20 years, price of petrol has never been in the Nigeria.

Earlier in April 2020, Federal Government reduced the price of petrol pump to N123.50 per litre before increasing it to N143 and later reducing it to N138

Yesterday, the Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC), has announced an increment in the pump price of petrol.

PPMC, a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, said the pump price of petrol has increased to N151.56 per litre.

This was contained in a statement signed by D.O Abalaka of the PPMC.

According to the statement, the new price adjustment has been effected.

Abalaka stated: “Please be informed that a new product price adjustment has been effected on our payment platform.

“To this end, the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) is now one hundred and fifty-one naira, fifty-six kobo (N151.56k) per litre.

“This takes effect from September 2, 2020.”
