Naturally, the smartphone will be launched alongside the big event in February. Samsung Galaxy S10 model ( or models and variants)

It should be understood that rather than two devices, we will witness the release of three devices: The Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, and S10 Lite. Since we have three price speculations, it is expected that each of these smartphones may have the proposed price tags. All of these smartphones will carry the 5G connectivity as well as an in-screen fingerprint reader. Samsung is saying goodbye to the rear fingerprint scanner and joining the likes of Apple in the new design format.  The new in-screen fingerprint scanner will be made even more secure so that you can use it for payments online. The Face scanner has also been improved in favor of the 3D face scanner as seen on the iPhone X rather than the iris scanning technology seen in previous devices.

Key differences: Samsung Galaxy S10 vs. S10 Plus vs. S10 Lite

  • The Samsung Galaxy S10 will be the standard Samsung flagship
  • The S10 will feature more power, display, and a bigger screen
  • The Samsung Galaxy 10 lite will be the cheaper model with less power and size.

Updates and Leaks: Samsung Galaxy S10 Design, Camera and Display

It is expected that the Samsung Galaxy S10 will feature a 1440 X 3040 resolution as well as an aspect ratio of 19:9. Prototypes have been released, so many of these speculations hold full weight. The new Samsung S10 will have a 3.5headphone port and speaker. It would also follow the trend of smaller bezels as well as a single punch0hole camera in front. You should also expect a triple lens camera at the back as well. The triple lens may be a 12MP, 13MP and 16MP lens as well as apertures of f/1.5. f/1.9 and f/1.9 apertures, although we are not quite sure which lens will feature which.

Updates and Leaks: Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus: design and display

The S10 Plus will be a 6.4-inch QHD (1440 X 3040) resolution screen with pinhole front camera and tiny bezels. However, the camera will be different from the Galaxy S10 because it will have dual-lense selfie camera in the pinhole in the screen. The rear end remains the same as the Samsung Galaxy S10 which is a triple lens outfit. It will also have a 3.5mm headphone port as well.  There are other pictures released that show the Samsung s10 with a side notch and screen protector. This would also be expected in the Samsung s10 and S10 Lite.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite display, design and camera leaks

The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite will be a lesser version. It would have a 5.8-inch display alongside the QhD resolution.  There is a chance that this phone may have a minimal bezel but no pinhole for the camera. However, this is all speculations.

Software and Performance: Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Plus, and S10 Lite

We should expect that the Galaxy S10 Plus will have a 12GB RAM and 1TB storage. The Galaxy S10 Plus and S10 will also come with the Exynos 9820 chipset or the Snapdragon 855. This beautiful processor is expected to give more than 20% better single core performance and 40% better power efficiency. The Exynos 9820 is a new chipset and is built on an 8nm process which is smaller than its 10nm predecessor.

In the US, the Snapdragon 855 chipset will be most likely used. This is 7nm and will be more efficient than the Exynos 9820. According to preliminary benchmark tests, this chipset is higher than the Exynos 9820 as well as Apple’s Bionic processor.

As for the RAM, we are having up to 12GB, and 1TB storage is indeed power like no other. However, we are not sure of them. It is more likely we may see an 8GB RAM, but let’s keep our fingers crossed.

There are leaks that there might be a minor variant of the Galaxy S10 Plus with 4G connectivity and the choice between 6GB or 8GB RAM (and 128,256GB or 512GB Storage). The 5G model is expected to have two variants such as the 8GB or 12GB variants.

There are also rumors that there might be a life pattern mode, afforded by AI which will help your phone adjust according to usage.

Battery: Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Plus, and S10 Lite

The Samsung Galaxy S10 will feature a 3,500mAh battery, the S10 Lite might likely have a 3100mAh battery, and the S10 Plus will come with the 4,000mAh. However, the 5G Galaxy S10 Plus may have a higher battery power between 4,500 and 5,000mAh.

And so guys here is what we expect with the S10 smartphones:

  • Bigger display
  • Better processor
  • The 5G connectivity
  • Bigger battery (although we might be disappointed)
  • Improved AI technology especially the Bixby and AR emoji integrations
  • Enhance security and authentications following the changes in the in-screen fingerprint scanner and 3D facial recognition as against the outdated rear fingerprint sensor and 2D iris scanner.
