Below, we’re detailing all the celebrities, pastors and business moguls who have given literally MILLIONS to help combat coronavirus in Nigeria.
1. Jack Ma
Jack Ma is a Chinese business magnate, investor and politician.He is the co founder of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba.
Jack Ma donated medical supplies to Nigeria to help fight coronavirus which has so far claimed one life and infected over 50 people.
The medical supplies donated by Jack ma include: 5.4 mill face masks, 1.08 mill detection tests, 40,000 sets of protective clothing and 60,000 sets of protective face shields.
Douglas Jack Agu, popularly known by his stage name Runtown, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer.
With the fear of total lockdown looming in Nigeria, Runtown via his Twitter handle announced he will be giving out 10 million naira to Nigerians who have no money to stock up.
Runtown took to his twitter page to ask fans who are financially incapacitated to drop their account details for the giveaway.
3. Shehu Sanni
Shehu Sani is a Nigerian senator, an author, playwright and a human rights activist.
Senator shehu sanni has distributed protective items and foodstuffs to churches, mosques and correctional centers.
4. Atiku Abubakar
Atiku Abubakar is a Nigerian politician, businessman, philanthropist and presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party at the 2019 Nigerian general election.
Atiku Abubakar has donated N50 million as relief fund to support the Federal Government’s battle against the coronavirus pandemic in the country. Atiku Abubakar made this known in a press statement on March 25, 2020. He also urged the federal government to provide each household with N10,000.
5. Aliko Dangote
Aliko Dangote is a Nigerian business magnate and philanthropist who is the founder and chairman of Dangote Group, the largest industrial conglomerate in Africa.
The Aliko Dangote Foundation on March 2, 2020 pledged a staggering sum of N200million to support current effort of the Nigerian government towards combating the spread of Coronavirus in the country.
6. Dunamis International Gospel Centre
A faith-based organization, Dunamis International Gospel Centre, DIGC, Wednesday, donated medical equipment worth millions of Naira to the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, to combat the Coronavirus, COVID-19, outbreak.
The donation was made by the Founder and Senior Pastor, Dr. Paul Enenche, along with his wife, Dr. Becky Enenche, and other leaders of the church.
7. United Bank for Africa
United Bank for Africa Plc donated a whopping N5 billion for Africa to fight the deadly coronavirus.
Just like Runtown, Samuel Oguachuba better known SamKlef also revealed that he will be joining the fight against coronavirus by donating cash to his followers.
9. Toyin Abraham
Popular Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham via her Instagram page revealed her plans to help in the fight against Coronavirus.
The actress and mother of one has reached out to vendors who sell hand sanitizers and bag of rice to help deliver to people around Lagos, Ibadan, Akure, Ogun and Ilorin.
