YouTube recently launched the YouTube stories which is an entirely and pleasantly different previously released Instagram stories and Snapchat stories.
Google’s owned YouTube announced this latest development last Thursday, that YouTuble channels with well over 10, 000 subscribers will have the advantage of the YouTube Stories features in no time.
The YouTube Stories is a unique platform which works just like the Instagram stories and Snapchant stories because creators can add text, filters, music, stickers and a lot of goofy elements to their videos.
What’s so unique about the YouTube Stories feature?
However, the YouTube stories promise so much more to its creators. First unlike Snapchat, Facebook or Instagram stories, it can be watchable in the mobile app for about seven days after creation which is pleasant because other platforms only allow stories for 24hours.
Secondly, viewers can place comments and will receive a response from creators. However, viewers can reply video or pic and there is no swipe up or video linking features just yet. In addition, viewers can also give a thumbs up or thumbs down a comment to which creators can heart comments.
Response from creators can also be in the form of pics or videos which can be seen by the entire community. In addition, creators have comment moderation tools, therefore ensuring they control everything on their platform
In addition, you can view stories even when you are not subscribed to that particular channel. All you need do is click “UP Next” and all top stories will be available to you.
To create new stories, all you need is the camera feature of your Andriod or IOS YouTube app which now features the new “Create Story” option.
The YouTube Stories is not exactly a new creation as it was launched about one year ago. However, at that time, it only allowed creators to test the Stories features and in different name and concept called “Reels”. However, with this extensive launch, a lot of users will begin to enjoy and notice the Stories since they will be mainly used by big YouTube channels.
The YouTube stories is a pleasant addition, however since it is not available to a lot of youtube video creators, we believe there will be a lot of fallouts. However, we put the question to you, what do you think about these latest developments and what is your take on this restrictions.
