Nigerian rapper and ‘WOSS-WOBI’ Crooner CDQ has made a in statement about late Dagrin’s impact on the Nigerian Hip Hop music scene.

CDQ made this known while speaking on the first episode of Henessy’s Hip-Hop Docu-series, “The Conversation”.The rapper alongside Vector, M.I Abaga, DJ Jimmy Jatt shared their respective opinions on the evolution of Hip Hop in Nigeria.
According to CDQ, since Dagrin’s unfortunate death, Hip Hop genre suffered a major setback in Nigeria up till date. The rappers also said that the late Dagrin was the only artiste who stayed true to the genre.

Dagrin died on April 22, 2010 after a ghastly car accident. He was just 22 years old, but his style of rap music was already popular.
Though he lived a short life, his style of indigenous rap is still influencing the Nigerian music scene. Artistes like Olamide, lil Kesh, Phyno, Reminisce and many others are some of the best examples of Dagrin’s influence on the Nigerian music scene.
