Lagos To Ibadan Train Schedules

The Nigeria Railway Corporation ( ) has declared the official start of operations for the Lagos-Abeokuta-Ibadan rail line. Mr. Jerry Oche, the Railway District Manager, made the statement in Lagos following President Muhammadu Buhari’s official inauguration of the rail line on Thursday, June 10, 2021.

The Lagos-Ibadan Train Service (LITS) provides completely air-conditioned train services in a variety of categories. These trains are made up of recently purchased coaches and locomotives. There are tickets available in Economy, Business, and First Class, so there is something for everyone.

Ticket Prices for the Lagos-Ibadan Train

The Lagos – Ibadan train service
comprises 3 trip zones:

• Lagos to lbadan (Zone 1-2)
• Lagos to Abeokuta (Zone 1)
• Abeokuta to lbadan (Zone 2)

Lagos to Ibadan Train Ticket
Prices

• 56 seater – N5,000
• 68 seater -= N3.500
• 88 seater — N2.500

Lagos to Abeokuta only: Ticket Prices

• 24 seater == N6,000
• 56 seater == N3.500
• 68 seater == N3.000
• 88 seater -= N2,000

Abeokuta to Ibadan only:
Ticket Prices

• 24 seater = = N2,000
• 56 seater = = N1.500
• 68 seater == N1,000
• 88 seater == N600

Please keep in mind that the 24-seater buses are for First Class passengers, the 56- and 68-seater buses are for Business Class, and the 88-seater buses are for Economy Class.

Lagos To Ibadan Train Schedules

The Lagos-Ibadan train service began full operations on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. The LITS allows for four trips per day. The current schedule of trips at the Lagos-lbadan Train Service is as follows:

Trips to Lagos, Abeokuta, and Ibadan (full schedule)

Mondays through Fridays (morning trip)

• At 8:00 a.m., depart from Mobolaji Johnson Station in Alagomeji.
• Stopover and take-off at Babatunde Raji Fashola Station, Agege, by 8.21 a.m.
• Stopover and take-off at Wole Soyinka Station in Abeokuta by 9.40 a.m.
• Stopover and take-off at Samuel Ladoke Akintola Station, Omi-adio, by 10.29 a.m.
• By 10.48 a.m., the bus had arrived at Obafemi Awolowwo Station in Moniya

Mondays through Fridays (afternoon trip)

• At 4 p.m., depart from Mobolaji Johnson Station in Alagomeji.
• By 4.21 p.m., arrive at Babatunde Raji Fashola Station in Agege and depart.
• By 5.40 p.m., arrive at Wole Soyinka Station in Abeokuta and depart.
• By 6.29 p.m., arrive at Samuel Ladoke Akintola Station in Omi-adio and depart.
• By 6.48 p.m., the train had arrived at Obafemi Awolowo Station in Moniya.

On Saturdays (morning trip)

• At 8.30 a.m., depart from Mobolaji Johnson Station in Alagomeji.
• By 8.51 a.m., the train will make a stopover and take off from Babatunde Raji Fashola Station in Agege.
• By 10.10 a.m., the plane will make a stopover and take off from Wole Soyinka Station in Abeokuta.
• By 10.59 a.m., arrive at Samuel Ladoke Akintola Station in Omi-adio and depart.
• By 11.18 a.m., the train had arrived at Obafemi Awolowo Station in Moniya.

On Saturdays (afternoon trip)

• Departure from Mobolaji Johnson Station, Alagomeji at 6.00 pm
• Stop-over & take-off at  Babatunde Raji Fashola Station, Agege by 6.25 pm
• Stop-over & take-off at Wole Soyinka Station, Abeokuta by 7.45 pm
• Stop-over & take-off at Samuel Ladoke Akintola Station, Omi-adio by 8.40 pm
• Final stop at Obafemi Awolowo Station, Moniya by 9.00 pm

On Sundays (morning trip)

• At 8 a.m., depart from Mobolaji Johnson Station in Alagomeji.
• By 8.21 a.m., arrive at Babatunde Raji Fashola Station in Agege and depart.
• By 9.40 a.m., the plane will make a stopover and take off from Wole Soyinka Station in Abeokuta.
• By 10.29 a.m., arrive at Samuel Ladoke Akintola Station in Omi-adio and depart.
• By 10.48 a.m., the train had arrived at Obafemi Awolowo Station in Moniya.

• At 8 a.m., depart from Obafemi Awolowo Station in Moniya.
• Take-off and landing By 8.20 a.m., Samuel LadokKe Akintola Station, Omi-adio
• By 9.05 a.m., the plane will have landed and taken off from Wole Soyinka Station in Abeokuta.
• By 10.29 a.m., the plane will make a stopover and take off from Babatunde Raji Fashola Station in Agege.
• The journey ends at Mobolaji Johnson Station. 10.48 a.m. Alagomeji

On Saturdays (morning trip)

• At 8.30 a.m., depart from Obafemi Awolowo Station in Moniya.
• Take-off and arrival By 8.50 a.m., Samuel Ladoke Akintola Station, Omi-adio.
• By 10.08 a.m., the train will have landed and taken off from Wole Soyinka Station in Abeokuta.
• By 10.56 a.m., the train will make a stopover and take off from Babatunde Raji Fashola Station in Agege.
• By 11.18 a.m., the train had arrived at Mobolaji Johnson Station in Alagomeji.

On Saturdays (afternoon trip)

• Departure from Obafemi Awolowo Station, Moniya at 6.00 pm
• Stop-over & take-off Samuel Ladoke Akintola Station, Omi-adio by 6.20 pm
• Stop-over & take-off at Wole Soyinka Station, Abeokuta by 8.02 pm
• Stop-over & take-off at Babatunde Raji Fashola Station, Agege by 8.50 pm

Note:

• Children over the age of 14 must pay the full adult charge, while those under the age of 14 must pay half the adult price.
• Arrive at the rail station at least 1 hour before the scheduled departure time (the timing is quite strict). This will allow you to register, purchase your ticket, and mentally prepare for the trip ahead.
