An America-based female Nigerian artist’s Toyin Odutola has become the third highest-paid Nigerian artist of all time after her stunning drawing ‘Compound Leaf’ sold at the Sotheby’s for £471,000 which is same as N215m.
This record-breaking sale puts Odutola behind the fellow female artist, Njideka Akunyili-Crosby, and the legendary Ben Enwonwu.
