Latest Done Deals In Europe, Updates On Tiago Silva, Arsenal, And Other Premier League Clubs

Here are some transfer updates and done deals across Europe.

Done Deals

Leceister City has handed 28-year-old defensive midfielder Nampalys Mendy a new 2-year contract, keeping him at the club till the summer of 2022.

Mendy was signed by Claudio Ranieri in 2016 from OGC Nice.

 

 

The Foxes have also extended the contract of James Maddison by four years on a deal worth 100,000.

This latest development will now make interest from other clubs futile.

Italian club Hellas Verona has completed the signing of Turkish defender Cert Metin from AS Roma.

The 23-year-old will spend the comic season on loan with the newly promoted Serie A side.

Also, Newcastle United have snapped up Jeff Hendrick as a free agent from Burnley following the expiration of his contract.

Hendrick played 24 times last season for Burnley scoring twice with two assists.

He now pens a four year deal with the magpies and will be looking to add his Premier League experience to the team.

If there is one English team really getting ready for the new season it has to be Norwich.

Although they’ll be playing in the Championship, the Canaries are very active in the transfer market and has brought in Jordan Hugill from Westham.

The 28-year-old had a successful campaign while on loan at QPR last season, scoring 15 goals in the Championship.

German Bundesliga.2 club St Pauli has signed Nigerian midfielder Afeez Aremu from IK Start in Norway on a three-year deal.

The Flying Eagles player has been handed the jersey number 14.

Another interesting transfer is that of Bernardo Silva to Feyenoord. Don’t fret, it’s not the Bernardo you’re thinking about.

This Bernardo is 19 years old and has swapped shirts from Benfica on a two-year deal.

UD Almeria have given out of contract Manchester United winger Largie Ramazani a five-year deal.

Largie Ramazani is just 19 of age and is a Belgian International. He featured major with United’s team B and made one Europa League appearance last season.

Tommaso Pobega has been handed a three-year contract extension at AC Milan.

His contract was meant to end in 2022 but after an impressive loan outing in the Serie B, he will now be a Rosseneri till 2025.

Arsenal has made the signings of both Cedric Soares and Pablo Mari permanent deals.

Soares was on loan from Southampton while Mari came in from Flamengo.

26-year-old Chelsea goalie Jamal Blackman has headed out for yet again another loan deal.

He will now play with Rotherham in the coming season.

Transfer Updates

1. Mario Mandzukic (AS Roma)

Roma might be forced to bring Croatian forward Mario Mandzukic back to Italy.

The club’s main striker Edin Dzeko has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus, and Mandzukic who last played for Juve before moving to Qatar is a likely replacement.

2. Luis Suarez (PSG)

The future of Suarez at Barca is now shaky following the arrival of Ronald Koeman, and PSG might be looking to bring him to France.

3. Mario Ballotelli

According to Mino Raiola who is Ballotelli’s agent, there are two possible moves for the Italian.

Either he goes to the MLS with Inter Miami or to Turkey with Besiktas. He is currently a free agent after the termination of his contract with Brescia.

3.  Ainsley Maitland-Niles (Wolves)

Wolverhampton Wanderers are close to completing the signing of Maitland-Niles from Arsenal.

A transfer fee and contract agreement are ser to be finalized this week.

4. Yaya Sanogo (Middlesbrough)

Former Arsenal forward Yaya Sanogo is set to making a return to England with Championship side Middlesbrough.

The 27-year-old French international is currently a free agent and last played for Toulouse in the Ligue 1

5. Tiago Silva (Chelsea)

Tiago Silva has reportedly agreed on a two-year contract deal with Chelsea having played his last match for PSG on Sunday.

Silva who is 35 will join the Blues on a free transfer.

6. Patrik Schick (Bayer Leverkusen)

Leverkusen is preparing a transfer signing for Roma winger Patrik Schick as a replacement for Kai Havertz.

The Czech international spent last season on loan at Leipzig.
