Oppo A96 Price In Nigeria and Complete Specifications and Review

Naijmobile.com gives a comprehensive review of the Oppo A96. Our Oppo A96 review looks at the smartphone’s price, design, display, camera, battery life, and other features.

At the end of this article, we will give our opinion on the Oppo A96 and tell you whether or not you should buy it. Without further ado, let’s get started.

Design of the Oppo A96

In terms of design, the OppoA96 isn’t different to the Oppo A95; it’s a long, thin device that exudes quality in both appearance and feel.

For the A96, Oppo chose a larger size: 164.4 x 75.7 x 8.4 mm. The A96 dimensions is only 0.4mm different from the A95, and it weighs only 6g more at 191g.

The Oppo A96 back is made of a plastic that feels expensive in the hand, but it’s important to note that this type of phone material lasts a long time and provides users with a firm grip.

The main design difference between the A95 and the A96 is the redesigned camera bump, which now consists of two large camera lenses with curvier edges rather than a triple camera lens. It isn’t exactly a design revolution, but it is the most significant difference between the phones.

The Oppo A96 doesn’t have an Oppo logo on the back, but the fingerprint sensor is located on the power button on the right side of the phone.

This is a phone for people who live an active or clumsy lifestyle because it is water and dust resistant. Starry Black and Sunset Blue are the two colors available for the device.

The Oppo A96 Display

The display features a 6.59-inch IPS LCD screen with a ‘punch-hole’ cut-out at the top-left and curves around the edges. The resolution is 1080 x 2412 pixels, with an 84.0 percent screen-to-body ratio, a maximum brightness of 600 nits, and a 20:9 aspect ratio.

That’s a long list of specifications, but what does it all mean from the standpoint of a user? Well, it’s a stunning display with excellent contrast, vibrant colors, and a very high brightness (when you manually boost it up).

OppoA96 Cameras

Oppo’s camera department is a key marketing focus for the Oppo A96. The smartphone has a dual camera with 50 MP (wide) and 2 MP resolution (depth).

On the front, there is a single 16 MP camera (wide). There is also LED flash, HDR, and panorama.

Photos taken with the front and back cameras will look fantastic: they will be bright, colorful, and packed with detail. This device can record video at a resolution of 1080p@30fps.

Hardware

The Oppo A96 is a mid-range phone, but it features the same top-tier chipset, Qualcomm SM6225 Snapdragon 680 4G, as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11, Samsung Galaxy A24, and Realme 9i.

The phone comes with a 128GB 8GB RAM and a 256GB 8GB RAM, which can be expanded with an SD card.

Software

The device runs the Android 11 + ColorOS 11.1 operating system.

ColorOS has a colorful user interface, which is accentuated by the vibrant display, and it’s pleasing to look at – though those who prefer a more simple design may find it too much.

Our favorite feature of the software is the extensive customization options – you get the standard Android functionalities like widgets, Live (or moving) wallpapers, navigation animations, etc, but there’s a so much more. You can change the shape and design of the icons and settings.

Battery Life and Connectivity

Most mid-range phones have mediocre battery life, but the Oppo A96’s battery life did not disappoint us.

The phone has a 5,000mAh battery that can last for more than 24 hours. If the battery life is adequate, the charging speed is excellent. There’s 33W wired charging, which Oppo claims will charge the phone from zero to 100 percent in 26 minutes. You could simply plug in the phone and have a fully charged battery in no time.

There’s also reverse wireless charging at 33W, which allows you to power another device while using your phone as a charging pad.

The smartphone has 4G LTE connectivity, as well as GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, QZSS, USB Type-C 2.0, USB On-The-Go, and Bluetooth 5.0.
