BBNaija host and media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has recounted his near-death experience with the now defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS). Nigerians are currently protesting against police brutality, as they demand a total reformation of the law enforcement agency.
The host at the long-running show,” Rubbin Minds” narrated how he and some of his friends were almost killed by SARS officers.
He recounted how a policeman chased his friends and him fiercely on November 2005, 6 days after he was called to Bar. According to Ebuka, a man in plain cloth came out of the car and pointed it at them opening fire.
Ebuka added that it was one of the chilling moment of his first life. Giving a list of victims who had lost their lives due to police miss conduct and brutality, Ebuka added they didn’t have a chance to survive as he did.
