The Total/NNPC National Merit Scholarship Scheme aims to promote academic excellence, innovation and technical development among Undergraduates in tertiary institutions in Nigeria. This is one of the many ways TOTAL demonstrates its commitment to the educational development of Nigerian students. It is a part of NNPC/TOTAL’s rich Corporate Social Responsibility.This scholarship scheme has been successfully carried out over the years. The 2017/2018 is due and this web portal is dedicated to receiving applications from eligible Nigerian undergraduates.
Eligibility
To qualify for consideration, the applicant MUST:
- Show proof of A-level or Equivalent Certificate (direct entry students)
- Provide proof of SSCE or Equivalent Certificate.
- Provide proof of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) score.
- Be registered FULL TIME in an undergraduate course in a recognized Nigerian University.
- Be a certified 100 or 200 level student at the time of application
Show proof of Admission letter from the University and Matriculation Number
Please Note: Students with less than 200 score in UTME need not apply
Students with less than 2.50 CGPA of 5-point scale, or equivalent.
300 level students and above need not apply
Current beneficiaries of similar awards from the oil industry need not apply.

Personal Information: Provide your name, date of birth and permanent home address Upload your recent passport photograph.
Contact Information: Provide your contact information. Ensure only active and accurate email addresses and phone numbers are used on your application.
Origin:Indicate your State and Local Government of Origin. Upload a valid certificate or proof of origin obtained from your local government or state.
University Information: Indicate your University, course and year of study. Your JAMB/University admission letter is required.
Result Information: Provide your JAMB score or CPGA . You are required to upload your JAMB statement of result and transcript issued by your University. Medical students in their 2nd year should provide their JAMB score.
Ensure you review every information entered on your application before final submission.

Conclusion: Attest that all information supplied are valid and true. A pop-up message will inform you of the successful completion of your application. Confirmatory email will be sent to the address provided on your application.
Selection tests will be conducted on December 2, 2017. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted with details of the test centers Nationwide.
Candidates will fully bear the cost of transportation to test venue as no reimbursement shall be made. Candidates are therefore advised to choose a test center closest to them.
